Understanding the impact parental cancer can have on a family
An online one hour session looking at how parental cancer can impact a family, with an overview on supporting patients communicate with their kids.
lunch and learn
An online hour at lunch for teams up to 100 people. Focusing on how to support patients telling their children about their diagnosis, and key coping skills for families. Ideas to support parents as inpatients and outpatients.
half day training
A 3 hour training session for teams up to 16 people. Focusing on communication, coping and connection using case studies and a community practice approach. Resources and access to online resource hub.
A combination of learning (e.g. communication, dealing with challenging situations, parents who are metastatic or in palliative care) and exploring how to change practice to become parent-centred. Tips, advice, showcase best practice. An energetic compassionate space to redefine cancer care.

Parenting with Cancer Conference 2024
The first Parenting with Cancer conference was a huge success, demonstrating that difficult subjects can be discussed in gentle but inspiring ways. It was a mix of academic, clinical information and family stories.
